Northstar Chorus Annual Show, 2003
Story Synopsis: The small northwoods town of Bobber, Minnesota, has one gas station, one general store, one diner, one bait shop and one town hall...and that's all in one building! Owned by Anker and Sway Lureson, this "Eat here and get gas" mini-mini mall boasts "the best chub minnows money can buy." The Lureson's son, Wally (named after a walleye that Anker was landing while Sway gave birth) is just returning from college where he has been learning all about economics, business, and the latest technology. Anker hopes his son will take the business and really turn it into something. But he may never have the chance! When old Doc Torgeson passed on, his estate -- 400 acres of swampland on the north side of the lake -- affectionately known as "the quagmire" -- went up for auction and was purchased by some feller from out east. The new owner, a Reginald Winchester III, is coming to town with his wife, Mildred, and their daughter, Millicent, to begin construction on a new golf course and resort that will shatter this quiet community. Fearful of the bait store's ability to survive, the townsfolk try to discourage the enterprising Winchesters.

Wally: Remember, you can't drown in a frog pond...it's only Knee-deep!
Anker: Doc Torgeson fell into his well and drowned...I always said he should attend to the sick and leave the well alone!
Wally: Isn't this 2613 Gettysburg Lane?
Millicent: It is...
Wally: And isn't that your Lincoln town car that is stuck up to it's axels over there?
Millicent: Yes...
Wally: Well a call came into the tow truck to see a Lincoln at a Gettysburg address.
