Who We Are

The North Star Chorus is a premier Twin Cities-based men’s a cappella chorus dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich American tradition of barbershop harmony. Known for our energetic performances, engaging vocal arrangements, and deep community roots, we bring together singers of all backgrounds to share the joy of live music.

Operating under the belief that music connects communities, the chorus performs regularly across the Upper Midwest—ranging from community park concerts and casual neighborhood concerts to major annual fundraiser shows and competitive stages.

Our Invitation To You

We believe music is best when shared. Whether you are looking to enjoy a night out or find your own voice, there are three great ways to connect with us:

• Experience live harmony: Join us at one of our upcoming public performances, from our free summer park concerts to our annual fall and holiday shows.
• Sing with us: Everyone has a voice. While the North Star Chorus is a men’s chorus, we proudly partner with all-female and all-gender groups to produce these community programs, and no one is turned away.

All ages, all genders, and all experience levels will have a place... and FUN! Participate in our free, no-audition community programs—such as our holiday chorus where community participants rehearse and perform surrounded by the North Star Chorus and Lake Country Chorus members.

Note: Community participation in rehearsals/workshops is completely free, while audience members purchase general admission tickets, as this serves as a fundraising activity for the North Star Chorus and Lake Country Chorus.
