A Grimm Look at Fairy Tales
Who Cooked Mother’s Goose?
There was an old lady who lived in a shoe, it looked like a sound shell –
what can you do? But her boys entertained her all the day long, by sweet
serenading with barbershop song. Now her Henry has left her, that heel, and
what’s more, the rent’s overdue and the wolf’s at the door. Can Mother
Goose help her? Can Mom rise to glory? To tell any more would just ruin the
story. To find out the rest, sit tight and hang loose, while we deftly
butcher poor old Mother goose.
