Riders of the Lost Ark

– or –

Wherefore Ark Thou?

On a desolate island off the coast of Spain live the obscure but harmonious Dinka tribesmen, whiling away the centuries with their elaborate worship of the Lost Ark of Noah. Led by their ruthless, yet compassionate, Queen Katrinka Dinka, they have escaped detection for four thousand years without even trying. History has passed them by, with the exception of the periodic ships which have followed the example of the Ark and sunk off the coast of Dinkaland. From the onboard entertainers’ costume trunk of one such cruise ship, the present-day Dinkas have evolved their distinctive wardrobe, which is something less than than see-worthy. Recently, reports of the Ark’s remains have filtered through to the outside world and members of the international scientific community from Newark to Texarkana have infiltrated these once peaceful shores. One renowned archeologist, Harrison Buick, a.k.a. Illinois Smith, has arrived in a desperate attempt to bring back at least a scrap of evidence of the Ark with which to make his mark at the archeologist convention in Arkansas. Hark!
