When the timid Great-Grandson of Professor Harold Hill unknowingly returns to River City, Iowa as a traveling salesman in a last-ditch effort to make a sale, he finds himself with a very hard pitch to make. But the Hill family luck holds true and the words of Harold Hill help guide and inspire the younger Hill to come out of his shell and, in true Hill fashion, win the girl and the town’s admiration.
